Pocket Monsters HGSS (Japanese: ポケットモンスター HG・SS編) is a shōnen Pokémon manga created by Kosaku Anakubo. It is a sequel to the Pokémon Pocket Monsters, Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire, and Pocket Monsters DP manga series and takes place before the Pocket Monsters BW manga. The plot follows the adventures of Red and his Pokémon as they go back to Johto. It is chiefly a gag manga using crude humor and slapstick.
