Standard formats

 

The 2017-18 Standard format of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, formally called the Modified format, is the current Standard format used (alongside the current Expanded format) for Play! Pokémon organized play and in most sanctioned tournaments worldwide. It is also used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Play period

The 2017-18 Standard format was announced on July 12, 2017, rotating out Primal Clash, Double Crisis, Roaring Skies and Ancient Origins, the last few expansions from the XY Series.
