• Team Rocket, receiving an order from Giovanni to return to the HQ, release Mimikyu and Mareanie, leave their Z-Power Ring with them, say goodbye to Bewear and Stufful, and return to Kanto.
• Nebby returns to say goodbye to Ash.
• Rotom decides to stay and work at Aether Paradise.
• Lillie leaves Alola along with Gladion and Lusamine to search for Mohn.
• Ash returns to Pallet Town, leaving all of his Alolan Pokémon with Professor Kukui.
• Sophocles heads to Mossdeep City with Molayne.
• Lana leaves for the ocean study to find Manaphy with her father.
• Shaymin turns into its Sky Forme by touching Gracidea flowers brought by Ulu and leaves Mallow.

• Unlike the final episodes of the first four series, the phrase Next Time... A New Beginning! is not used; instead, the normal To be continued is replaced with ...and your dreams!, which is likely a reference to the closing song Type: Wild ending this episode.
