If the holder becomes infatuated, the Pokémon that the holder is in love with becomes infatuated as well.

Outside of battle

From Generation VI on, if held by a Pokémon in Day Care or Nursery, five of the parents' combined twelve IVs will be passed down to the child.

Description

Games Description DPPtHGSS A long, thin, bright red string to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the foe does too. BWB2W2 A long, thin, bright-red string to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the foe does too. XYORAS SMUSUM An item to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the opposing Pokémon will be, too.
