Santalune Forest (Japanese: ハクダンの森 Hakudan Forest) is a forest in southern Kalos. It is located between Route 2 and Route 3.

Its internal layout is very similar to that of Viridian Forest in Kanto. Furthermore, every Pokémon that can be found in Viridian Forest in Pokémon Red and Green and the international Pokémon Red and Blue can also be found here.

Santalune Forest was mentioned in PS554, where X and his friends were revealed to have slept a night in the forest before arriving in Santalune City, although Shauna complained how wild Pokémon had kept trampling all over her all night, keeping her from sleeping a wink.

Trivia

• Lass Anna's Japanese name, Rica, is a reference to Rica Matsumoto, the Japanese voice actress of Ash in the Pokémon anime, who, like Anna, uses a male Pikachu.
