Darkrai (Japanese: ダークライ Darkrai) is the featured Pokémon in The Rise of Darkrai. Its Japanese voice actor is 石坂浩二 Kōji Ishizaka and its English voice actor is Bill Rogers.
It was mistook as an evil Pokémon since the beginning of the movie. Soon it was discovered to be good, and took the task upon itself to stop the fighting between Dialga and Palkia.
Darkrai is very protective of Alice because it believed that she was her grandmother Alicia, who helped Darkrai when it was injured. Once, when Alice was a child, Darkrai saved Alice after she fell off a crumbling cliff. However there are other beliefs regarding the reason for protection as well.
Darkrai ended up sacrificing itself to protect everyone from Dialga and Palkia's powers. After Ash and Dawn asked Palkia to turn everything back to the way it was, Darkrai was revived.
