• Unlike most evolved Pokémon, it is far more common in the wild than its pre-evolution. It can also be found during the daytime, unlike its pre-evolution.

Origin

Kricketune appears to be based on a violin beetle.

Name origin

Its name comes from cricket and tune. Its Japanese name may come from 蟋蟀 koorogi, cricket, and a corruption of 曲 kyoku, tune.
