Two Questions

1. Can we add ==Welcome to the top of the template?

2. Can an admin (*coughs at TTEchidna*) make a bot that will automatically put this on a user's talk page when their account is created?

1. That can be done, sure.

Bytes

Why do we have to put the subst: thing in? When we do, we waste about 1900 bytes. But if we just put the {{welcome}} thing, we waste only 13 bytes.^PokeManiac₁₀₂ 17:53, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Because, having it update automatically on alllll those new usertalk pages is a pain in the ass for a server. Sure, we do it for our signatures too but let's not be hard on our server.. Tina ^δ♫ 19:35, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
