- Psyduck (Misty's)
- Farfetch'd (Keita's; debut)
- Voltorb
Trivia
- This episode takes place after Princess VS Princess since Jessie's Lickitung is mentioned here.
- In the English dub Brock refers to Misty's Psyduck as a male by calling it a "he".
Errors
- Jessie's Lickitung is first referenced here, seen in its Poké Ball floating downriver. This confused many people, as the episode in which she captured it was not aired until later (clearly out of order).
Dub edits

- Italian: Una bella lezione
- Latin American Spanish: ¡Tan cerca y aún tan Farfetch'd!
- Russian: В погоне за Фарфечдом
- Spanish: Tan cerca y aún así tan Farfetch'd
- Swedish: Pokémontjuven
