Corrosive Gas (Japanese: ふしょくガス Corrosive Gas) is a non-damaging Poison-type move introduced in Generation VIII.

Effect

This move effect may be in need of research.
Reason: Does Corrosive Gas affect Arceus' Plates?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

Corrosive Gas removes the targets' held items for the rest of the battle (even if switched out). Held items removed by Corrosive Gas cannot be recovered by Recycle or Harvest.

Corrosive Gas does not affect an item held by Pokémon with the Sticky Hold Ability, or if it hits a Pokémon's substitute. It also does not affect a Griseous Orb, Drive, Memory, Rusted Sword, or Rusted Shield held by Giratina, Genesect, Silvally, Zacian, or Zamazenta, respectively.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Corrosive Gas cannot be selected in a battle.

Generation IX

Poltergeist is programmed into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but cannot be selected in a battle as no available Pokémon can learn it. However, it can be called by Metronome.
