Eterna Forest (Japanese: ハクタイのもり Hakutai Forest) is a forest that one must travel through to get to Eterna City. Located on Route 205 is similar to Viridian Forest. It is a forest enveloped in chilly air. Thick stands of trees turn the forest into a natural maze. There is a mossy rock on the far west side. If an Eevee is leveled up within the forest, it evolves into Leafeon. Eterna Forest is home to many Bug/Grass types, and currently the only place in the Pokémon world to catch Buneary, and one of the only places in Sinnoh to catch Murkrow (Diamond only) and Misdreavus (Pearl only.), the other place being Lost Tower
Cheryl
When the player initially enters the forest, Cheryl will come up to the trainer and talk about Team Galactic, the criminal organization of Sinnoh. Presently, Cheryl will request to accompany the trainer through the forest. Subsequently, all battles in Eterna Forest will be double battles, including encounters with wild Pokémon. Her company is very useful - after every battle, Cheryl's Chansey will cure the players Pokémon using Softboiled. However, during battles with wild Pokémon a little problem appears: the player can throw a Poké Ball only when there is one Pokémon left, and thus Chansey's Egg Bomb may accidentally damage (or faint) the Pokémon the player wants to catch.
