Dipplin name origin
As stated its name in Japanese is Kamicchu. It could be a word play of Kami and Mutsu. Kami from either Kitakami, and micchu a "childlike" pronunciation of "Mutsu" apple. Mutsu is from Aomori prefecture in Tohoku region of Japan. --Thegrandpoketour (talk) 02:42, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- "Mitsu" (in this context referring to 蜜; meaning honey) and "Mutsu" are pronounced differently. We already mentioned mitsu/kamitsu in the name origin section. Anzasquiddles 2222(:D)SSSS (talk) 03:07, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
Final evolution?
I doubt it. According to a leak I saw on X (formerly Twitter), Dipplin has an evolved form.- LDEJRuff 17:32, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Per the Unreleased materials policy, leaked info for upcoming games is not allowed. Landfish7 19:56, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- As long as it's not confirmed Dipplin is a final form of Applin either, I guess we can be ambiguous and say neither. Nescientist (talk) 22:26, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
