Supersonic (Japanese: ちょうおんぱ Soundwave) is an extremely inaccurate non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Supersonic causes the opponent to become confused.

Supersonic will fail if the opponent has a Substitute or is already confused.

Pokémon

Zubat. Small blue circles are released from Zubat's Mouth. The circles then grow in size and fly towards the opponent. Any Pokémon that gets hit by the circles instantly becomes confused.

• Used by Brock's Zubat from Clefairy and the Moon Stone to ???. Debut.

Whismur. From its mouth Whismur shoots a beam of light blue disks. The beam is flat and the disks fly rapidly towards a single point on the opponent.

• Used by Alanna's Whismur in A Pokéblock Party!.

Mothim. Transparent circles are released from Mothim. The circles then grow in size and fly towards the opponent. Any Pokémon that gets hit by the circles instantly becomes confused.

• Used by Cheryl's Mothim in An Angry Combeenation!.
