Vacuum-Cut (Japanese: しんくうぎり Vacuum Cut) is a damage-dealing typeless move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.

Effect

Generation III

Vacuum-Cut inflicts a fixed amount of 35 damage on all foes in the room. No Pokémon learn it via gaining levels; however, it can still be taught to many Pokémon via TM. As the attack is typeless, it bypasses Wonder Guard. Despite being a damaging move, it is affected by Taunt.

Generation IV

Vacuum-Cut now does a fixed amount of 18 damage on all foes in the room. This move can be affected by Normalize and have its damage increased by STAB.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, the move is no longer affected by Taunt.
