Solar Blade (Japanese: ソーラーブレード Solar Blade) is a damage-dealing Grass-type move introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature move of Lurantis. It was TM12 in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and is TM190 in Generation IX.

Effect

Solar Blade charges up sunlight on the first turn and then unleashes the power as an attack on the second.

Solar Blade will not need a turn to charge if used during harsh sunlight. It will have its power halved if used during rain, hail, or sandstorm.

If a Pokémon holding a Power Herb uses Solar Blade, it will consume the Power Herb to execute Solar Blade in one turn. If there is harsh sunlight, the Power Herb will not be consumed.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Solar Blade cannot be selected in a battle.
