The Arceus Arc Celebration (Japanese: アルセウス編更新記念), subtitled Special Battle Event (Japanese: 特別バトルイベント), was a limited-time event in Pokémon Masters EX celebrating the addition of the Arceus Arc to the main story. It was focused on the sync pairs Arc Suit Cynthia & Garchomp, Arc Suit Steven & Metagross, and Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite.
The "Cynthia Arc Suit Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Arc Suit Cynthia & Garchomp from the beginning of the event to October 7, 2024. The "Steven Arc Suit Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Arc Suit Steven & Metagross from August 30 to October 7, 2024. The "Lance Arc Suit Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite from September 1 to October 7, 2024.
This event featured event points, a currency that players could earn by completing battles. Players received rewards based on the number of points accumulated, including 5★ Scout Tickets, a Sprint Move Candy Coin, a 5★ Power-Up, and medals. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.
The player could battle using Arc Suit Cynthia & Garchomp, Arc Suit Steven & Metagross, or Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite to obtain +0.6× bonus points; and any unlisted Ground-, Dragon-, or Steel-type sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus points.
This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with one or fewer sync pairs fainting and sync pairs with specific theme skills on the team.
