When {{Ash}}, {{an|May}}, [[Max]], and {{an|Brock}} were heading to Cremini Town in ''[[AG168|Three Jynx and a Baby!]]'', May saw a Smoochum and was about to hold her until Smoochum was carried away by a Jynx's {{m|Psychic}}. Three Jynx were protecting Smoochum. The Jynx used {{m|Blizzard}} against Ash, which made him angry. Ash told {{AP|Pikachu}} to use {{m|Thunderbolt}}, but the Jynx used {{m|Ice Beam}} first. Ash was about to run at the Jynx, but then, May told Ash to calm down and that she thought the three Jynx were trying to protect the Smoochum; Max agreed. They all left the Jynx and the Smoochum behind.

In the end, Ash succeeded in helping Smoochum, and he and the gang gained the three Jynx's trust. The Smoochum subsequently evolved and became a Jynx. Ash and his friends visited Cremini Town in Three Jynx and a Baby!. May saw a Smoochum and was about to hold her until Smoochum was carried away by a Jynx's Psychic. Three Jynx were protecting Smoochum.
