Plot
Vin is a boy whose father is too busy with work to play with him. One day, Vin found a collection of Pokémon games and Nintendo handhelds under the couch, and decides to boot up the copy of Pokémon Red on the Game Boy. He is mysteriously sucked into the world of the game, and meets a young Pokémon Trainer who calls himself Lord Dominic, who Vin notes has the same name as his father. He exits the world of the game after being attacked by a wild Charizard.
Vin begins playing Pokémon Crystal on the Game Boy Color, and again finds himself sucked into the game. There, he finds himself in the Whirl Islands riding a Lapras with Dominic, and exits the game after getting splashed while crossing a whirlpool. Vin's father scolds him for being too loud, and Vin remarks that he wishes his father was more like Dominic in the game. Vin continues playing, and finds himself with Lord Dominic soaring in the sky in Pokémon Sapphire, battling Dialga at Spear Pillar in Pokémon Diamond, battling N at N's Castle in Pokémon White, and battling Yveltal at the Team Flare Secret HQ in Pokémon Y. Vin realizes that the Dominic in the game is the same person as his father, and wonders why his father doesn't play with him like he does in the game.
Vin starts playing Pokémon Ultra Moon and finds himself alone in Ultra Space. During a break in his father's work, Dominic discovers that his son is inside the cartridge, and he immediately goes after him to save him. After saving his son, the two accidentally go on an Ultra Warp Ride and land in Ultra Space Wilds, where they encounter a Mewtwo. During the battle, Dominic is forced to use all of the Pokémon in his party and is still defeated, causing him to Mega Evolve his Charizard. In order to have a chance of victory, Vin reminds him to use his secret technique involving the move Smokescreen that he learned about while playing with Lord Dominic in Pokémon Y. With the help of his son and Pikachu, Vin and Dominic manage to escape and return to the real world.
After celebrating their battle, Dominic returns to his work, but Vin notices that something has changed about him. In the epilogue, inside two Nintendo Switch consoles with Pokémon Sword and Shield, Dominic and Vin participate side by side, as Lord Dominic and Vin the Invincible, in a Pokémon battle against two Trainers.
