Clark (Japanese: ヒュウガ Hyūga) is a Pokémon trainer who took part in the Double battle rounds of the Ever Grande Conference. His Japanese voice actor is Akira Ishida and his English voice actor is Anthony Salerno.
Clark was known as "The Conductor," and he used a staff to literally "conduct" his Pokémon in battle. He faced Ash in the second of the trainer's Double battles. This battle occurred in Shocks and Bonds.
Clark sent out his Quilava and Charizard against Ash's Grovyle and Glalie. It appeared that Ash had an overwhelming disadvantage, but he kept his cool. Clark made his Pokémon attack using their various Fire attacks, while Ash had his Pokémon use their best. Eventually, Grovyle defeated Quilava, but the Template:Type2 ended up getting knocked out by Charizard's Steel Wing.
Using his Glalie, Ash created several columns of ice, preventing Charizard from coming in and attacking directly. It also used its Double Team and Headbutt to confuse and eventually defeat Charizard. Ash was then allowed to move on to the quarterfinals, while Clark was eliminated from the tournament.
