It's not Porygon's fault! It because of Pikachu's Thunderbolt! Oh, how I wished that Porygon will still appear in an episode. A cameo from Pokémon Heroes isn't enough!Palkia38 08:25, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Revision as of 08:25, 10 August 2008

Electric Soldier Porygon is definitly EP037, not EP035. Legend of Dratini is EP035. Someone needs to move this. -GreenGiant

Gah, I'm such a twat. Sorry. Heh, funny that I mixed it up with another un-aired English episode. XD - Ferret 01:55, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Missing episode?

shouldn't pikachu goodbye be on the list since it aired before EP40? - pokeant

Yes, that's what happened, but my personal theory is that what is now EP039 did not exist before the incident. - 振霖T 14:24, 15 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fix the problem?

If flashing lights caused it to be banned, couldn't they just edit the clip so that it flashes at a lower frequency? If so, they could just re-air the episode. Also, they could add a warning at the start of the episode to not watch it in the dark. That's what they did to the video games.

Yes, that has been brought up many times. However, it is also important to remember that this episode probably is a bad memory for those affected and a bad note on Pokémon's reputation. On top of that, the Japanese government banned any showings of the episode. It seems like an easy problem to solve, but there are many factors which prevent such. --Pie ~ 01:55, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just so y'all know...

There is a subtitled, but otherwise unedited, version of the episode online. Having watched it (no, I did not have a seizure), I can honestly say that it's a shame that the episode was never edited and re-aired--it was a really good episode. (And yes, they added a disclaimer.) Shippinator Mandy 19:11, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Translation?

What is the real translation for this:

 • でんのうせんしポリゴン

I looked around and found this:

 • So it is the [u] plug to do, polygon

Tesh 20:21, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

..Um..no... "でんのう" translates to "electric brain" (電脳), which we just call a computer. "せんし" is literally "warrior" (戦士) but is usually taken to mean "soldier." And "ポリゴン" is Porygon. (It's the same as the Japanese word for "polygon.")--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 05:17, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I was just looking at a Japanese translator when I got thinking... Tesh 21:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Google's translator sucks. TTEchidna 00:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's Electric Soldier Porygon, not Computer Soldier Porygon. --Shiny NoctowlTalk | ContribsFile:Ani164MS.gif 19:00, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, it's computer. The "most popular" translation isn't always the "most correct" translation. Dennō means "electric brain," and a computer is certainly an electric brain.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 03:15, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Or, maybe it's "Artificial Intelligence Soldier Porygon"! This is off-subject but, I've seen the seizure clip and nothing happened to me except for minor dizzyne-{has seizure} Im a bulba 23:57, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Where?

Does anyone know where i can find a video of it online for free? -Theininen 02:53, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Check YouTube, or just search Google for it. TTEchidna 03:44, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't think YouTube is such a good idea. Sure, it has full length episodes, but videos get deleted every day and the uploaders often get suspended in the progress, YouTube doesn't tolerate copyright violation. But you could watch the YouTube videos while they last. TheBlazikenMaster 19:43, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, but they always come back and reupload. Besides, there's nowhere else you can find the episode, period. TTEchidna 20:31, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's not exactly true, I own over 150 on DVD. Besides the Internet is a big place, there are sites out there that do in fact have illegal copy of the episodes. YouTube is a good idea, but you're wrong if you think it's the only place. TheBlazikenMaster 20:34, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

DVD

Is this featured on the Volume 2 of Pokémon Season 1 I'm dying to see this with the seizure scene toned down Livinlarge18 17:37, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Doubtful. For that to happen, the Japanese government would have to lift the global ban. In the extremely unlikely event that were to happen, the episode would then have to be freshly dubbed without the 4Kids actors, which would make it look out of place surrounded by a bunch of 4Kids-dubbed episodes. Sorry. --Shiningpikablu252 18:03, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
