(Japanese: ユウゾウ Yūzō) is one of Professor Rowan's assistants. He is voiced by Sean Reyes in English and Katsuyuki Konishi in Japanese. His English name was not revealed so this article will refer to him by this name.
Yūzō first appeared in Following a Maiden's Voyage. He was taking care of the Pokémon at the lab while Rowan was out when a fight broke out between a Piplup and a Chimchar. Things became even more disorganized after a Staraptor was accidentally attacked at it began to use Whirlwind inside the lab. Yūzō began to worry what Professor Rowan would say. He was going to attempt to clean it up but he returned with the new trainer.
Yūzō appears again in DP088 as one of the teachers at Professor Rowan's summer school.

Yūzō had said he had started his Pokémon journey with a Starly. Its current whereabouts are unknown.
