Sand-Attack (Japanese: すなかけ Sand Attack) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Sand-Attack decreases the opponent's accuracy by 1 level.
Sand-Attack will do nothing if the opponent's accuracy level is at -6, and will fail if the opponent has a Substitute or is under the effect of Mist.
Sand-Attack is a Template:Type2 move.
Generation II and on
Same effects as before, but now a Template:Type2 move. Affects Template:Type2s and Pokémon with Levitate.
In the anime
Pokémon
Pidgey. Pidgey flaps its wings and a sandstorm is created.
- Used by a wild Pidgey in Pokémon - I Choose You!.
Sandslash. Sandslash digs into the ground and sand is swept up.
- Used by an unnamed trainer's Sandslash in Gymbaliar!.
Gligar. Same as above
- Used by Ash's Gligar from Bells are Singing! to ???

Trivia
- Sand-Attack is one of the four moves to have its type changed in Generation II, the others being Gust, Bite, and Karate Chop. Coincidentally, they all were Template:Type2 moves in Generation I.
