Trivia
- Gible and its family may have been based to a degree on the Saturday Night Live character, the Landshark.
- Gible's family is the only family of Template:Type2 Pokémon that retain the same typing throughout their entire evolutionary chain.
Origin
Appearance-wise, seems like a cross between a European dragon and a shark. It may also be based on a Land Shark.
Name origin
Fukamaru may be a combination of 鱶 fuka, shark, and 丸 maru, round. Gible may be a combination of ground and nibble. Its German name, Kaumalat, comes from kauen. Its French name, Griknot, comes from grignoter and quenotte.
