Drapion (Japanese: ドラピオン Dorapion) is a dual-type Poison/Dark Pokémon.
It evolves from Skorupi at level 40.
Biology
Physiology
Drapion resembles a scorpion, as does its pre-evolution, Skorupi. Unlike a scorpion, however, Drapion has a claw on the end of its tail. Drapion's body is purple, with alternating shades of lavender and violet. It is able to turn its head 180 degrees. Unlike its pre-evolution, its front claws are fully developed.
Gender differences
None.

Habitat
It is probably native to dry desert areas, much like Skorupi. However, it is found in Pastoria City's Great Marsh.

Trivia
- Before Skorupi or Gliscor were revealed, many fans speculated that Drapion evolved from Gligar, due to their similar appearance.
- Both of Drapion's abilities revolve around critical hits. Battle Armor protects it from them, and Sniper strengthens a move that becomes a critical hit to 3× the damage instead of 2×.
Origin
Drapion appears to be a stylized scorpion.
Name origin
Drapion's name may be derived from dracula (because of its fangs) or dragon and scorpion.
