Template:Infobox town Mahogany Town (Japanese: チョウジタウン Chōji Town) the northernmost town of Johto. Its motto is "Welcome to the Home of the Ninja!", because of the ninjas that once resided in what eventually became the town's Rocket Hideout.
Pokémon Trainers must come to Mahogany Town in order to win the Glacier Badge from Pryce, the Mahogany Gym Leader who specializes in Ice-type Pokémon.
Mahogany is a quiet, relaxing town. There is a shop used by Team Rocket as a base in Pokémon Gold, Silver and Pokémon Crystal. After Team Rocket is defeated, it is converted into a store run by a little old lady.
To the north of the city is the popular Lake of Rage.
There are three exits out of town. West is Route 42, east is Route 44, and north is Route 43.
Demographics
Mahogany Town's population is 14, it being a very small town in Johto.
Name origin
Mahogany is a type of tree. Choji (丁字) means Clove.
