I'd like to join the project; I'm not too fond of the forums though.  But I've been doing a major fix up of couple of songs, and I made the page for Together with the Wind, and I'd like to do what I can to help the project.  It's something I've been fond of for a long time now, and I think I could help in this not-too-much-attention-getting-field. :Welcome aboard. You can start by helping me fill in the blanks in the newly created It Takes Two. Lillis wasn't very clear on some lines... Then again, maybe it's just my not-native ear. --<span style="color:#ED9121">electAbuzz</span>'<span style="color:#ED9121">zz</span> 09:37, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I'd also like to join the project; I love Pokemon music. I can help with High Touch! and Surely Tomorrow lyrics for starters, and maybe a few other things as well. I'm glad this project exists and I can't wait to get started! Pikachugal 20:01, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I know a lot of this project covers the vocalized music produced as promotional material for the anime and other related Pokémon franchises, but does this project also cover the instrumental tracks used in the games?  I don't mean individual pages for each track, but perhaps a section on the music of one generation and in what ways it has been remixed on the Stadiums and in the anime? -K2JMan 03:14, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Starting out

OK, welcome aboard, everyone... So far we're not a lot of users, but hopefully more will join soon (after all, this project isn't even up for a full 24 hours).

I finished (with a little help from CoolPikachu!) putting the notice templates on all related pages (hopefully I haven't missed any).

The next thing we need to do, as I see it, is fugure out what is the perfect song article?. What is our article structure? Let's focus on songs for now, and then move to CDs. Thoughts? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 10:15, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Right now everything's good some clean-up and some other things but yea we're good--☆CoolPikachu! 10:22, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Good is a relative term... The articles aren't all in the same format, and many of them are stubs. --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 11:12, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

What's the format for Japanese song titles? I noticed we don't translate Haruka, Hikari, and Takeshi for their theme songs, but we do translate names of Pokémon such as for Riding on Lapras or Meowth's Song. However, there are other song articles like Big Nyarth's Day that don't translate the Pokémon species to the English species. What consistency are we using? Are we only translating Pokémon species, but not Human characters? Should everything be translated to the English version? Or, should names always be left in the Japanese version. This is important for consistency in article titles. Satosuke 23:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

You're right. We're inconsistent. I never noticed that. Any of our resident sysops like to solve this for us? --electAbuzzzz 00:25, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

What bothers me in Music Articles.

I'm sick of those stupid, unneccessary and often irrelevant piped links in the song texts in song articles. Am I the only one who thinks we should eradicate them? --Maxim 12:13, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I strongly disagree. Most of the are very relevant, and they make the already-usually-stubbish-pages look less black and empty of content... If the lyrics refer to a specific topic in the franchise, why not link to it? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 12:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I have to agree with ElectAbuzzzz Takoto タコト| サソデイ = 愛 13:33, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Maybe because they really don't refer to any topic in franchise? Most of them are purely overinterpretated. I hate such overinterpretations. --Maxim 13:45, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Then let's seperate the "direct references" from "overinterpretations". Give me an example - what do you consider overinterpretation? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 13:53, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

External Linking To Songs

If you can find a link to a song, you should put in at the end of the page under "External Links". TTE encourages linking to openings and endings, so I think the same should apply here. Porygon-Z 13:47, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, and I guess I should let you know I joined the project! I've made a few articles on music stuff before, so, yeah. Porygon-Z 13:51, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

It Takes Two

I was told here a while back that there was a song called "It Takes Two" in a commercial to help promote the Ruby and Sapphire games and double-battles performed by Veronica Taylor and Rachael Lillis as Ash and Misty. I'm not an American so I never heard of it. Does anyone have anything about this song, so that we could create an article about it? --electAbuzzzz 12:04, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

I've got the song. According to Talk:Veronica Taylor, PPN used to have it, but it was lost. But there's a youtube video of it, and the song is acquirable. I have the mp3, but it's not an official mp3 because it wasn't ever released. It would be great if we could get a page on the song though. Satosuke 04:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Trade Please

On the trivia section of DP055, it says "Jessie says the title of the song とりかえっこプリーズ Trade Please." with a link to Trade Please. Is "Trade Please" a song in the anime? MoldyOrange 19:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Never mind. I found that it meant Torikaekko Please. Why that page title isn't in English is beyond me. MoldyOrange 19:38, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
