Bibarel (Japanese: ビーダル Beadull) is a dual-type Normal/Water Pokémon.
It evolves from Bidoof starting at level 15.
It is notable for being one of only two Template:T2 dual-type Pokémon that is not part Template:T2-type, the other being Girafarig.
Biology
Physiology
Bibarel are large bulky brown rodents with tan "masks", tan "bibs" on their chests and large broad tails. They have pronounced teeth which are used to chew through wood.
Gender differences
A male Bibarel's "mask" has two more circles on it than a female.
Special abilities
Bibarel have incredibly sharp front teeth which are used for cutting down small trees to build dams and lodges. They then use their large tails to smack down mud to keep the dams and lodges water-proof.
Behavior
Bibarel are known to be industrious workers and act as such when making their nests out of mud and wood.
Habitat
Bibarel live in rivers. They make their nests out of dams they construct of mud and wood.

In the anime
Bibarel made its anime debut in brief cameos in Following a Maiden's Voyage!, appearing in the wild.
A Bibarel also appeared in Bibarel Gnaws Best!, under the command of Isis.
Paul's brother, Reggie, owns a Bibarel which appeared in Lost Leader Strategy!.
A Bibarel made an appearance in The Rise of Darkrai.

Origin
Bibarel is based on a beaver.
Name origin
Its name comes from Beaver and Barrel. Bibarel's Japanese name Beadull is derived from the English word beaver and dull, referring to its simple minded and relaxed manner, or 樽 taru, barrel. It also referred as ビーバー "beaver" in Japanese and "barrel".
