The Magma Rock is an item in the Generation IV games. It cannot be obtained without the use of a cheating device such as an Action Replay.
The Magma Rock is found at Stark Mountain. During normal gameplay, it is not available, for after a player escorts Buck to Heatran's chamber, Buck immediately snatches it. Buck puts it back later due to the advice of his grandfather; however, instead of the Magma Rock, the player encounters a level 70 Heatran.
In Pokemon Platinum, it is revealed that the Magma Rock is used to keep 'The Pokemon of Stark Mountain under control.
