Torrent (Japanese: げきりゅう Raging Rapids) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Twelve Pokémon have this ability; each one of them is a member of the evolution family of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh's Template:Type2 starter Pokémon.

Effect

In battle

When a Template:Type2 move is used, it will do 150% of its damage if the Pokémon using it is below 33% of its HP.

Outside of battle

Torrent has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, it will do double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.
