Origin

Chatot is apparently based on a parrot. Its head looks like a musical note.

Name origin

Chatot's name comes from chat and parrot. Chatot's Japanese name comes from the words parrot and rap. The name could also come fromt he Japanese word perapera, "fluent in languages", refering to the fact that real world parrots can learn to speak human languages.
