As Ash and his friends head to Mahora Island. They soon find themselves in a large area of fog, which starts to envelope the ship. They learn that the island they're heading to is an island where a lot of Giant Pokémon were supposed to live. They dock at Mahora Island and then reach nearby Gen'ei Island when the tide is low. There, they soon sense something and spot a giant Heatmor, which attacks them. This leads to more Pokémon attacking, and Iris's Axew gets hurt in the process. When they find a Pokémon Center, they soon learn that things are not what they seem to be on the island.
