If you were looking for the hold-items in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, see Scarf (Mystery Dungeon).

Scarves (Japanese: バンダナ bandanna) are a special class of held items that add to the Contest condition of a Pokémon. They will boost the Pokémon's performance in the preliminary round of both Hoenn's Pokémon Contests and Sinnoh's Super Contests.

In Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, the Pokémon Fan Club President at Slateport City will give away one of these when first shown a Pokémon with a condition high enough in the scarf's respective concentration. In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, they are given away by the Scarf Guy in Pastoria City for the same reason.
