Name Origin

Incineroar should be pretty obviously a portmanteau of incinerate and roar. ガオガエン, or Gaogaen, is probably from gao (to roar) and a corruption of kaen which means flame. --TheMaskedMeowth (talk) 15:04, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Tiger Mask Origin

It may be inspired by the Tiger Mask manga and anime series. The main character was also (originally) a heel, is admired by a child and is heroic at heart.
