Poké Ride artwork

Poké Ride (Japanese: ポケモンライド Pokémon Ride) is a feature in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Poké Ride allows the player to ride on certain Pokémon. Each Pokémon allows the player to use a special ability. Ride Pokémon are summoned through the Ride Pager, which can be accessed with the Ⓨ button.

Similar to Key Items in previous games, the player can register up to four Pokémon services to the Control Pad for instant use.

The player obtains the Ride Pager and the ability to ride their first Ride Pokémon, Tauros, after defeating Hala in the Melemele Island grand trial.

Ride Pokémon first appeared in Alola to New Adventure!, where a Sharpedo was used by Ash to move around the water in Hau'oli City.

Lana owns a Lapras which she uses to traverse over the water. When not in use, it is kept in the sea next to her house.

Kiawe owns a Charizard, which he uses to move around from island to island in order to make deliveries.

In SM005, several Wailord and Lapras were used to help in a fishing exercise for Ash and his classmates.
