Fearow is a large eagle-like bird with a vulture-like neck. It has a large pointed beak and a red crown like line of spikes upon it's head.

They have large, strong beaks, giving them strong attacks such as Drill Peck and Fury Attack.
Behavior
Fearow builds its nest on highly elevated ares, they are commonly seen on the peaks of rock spires near canyons. Also, very tall trees make a useful substitute for their nests. They are highly territorial and are quick for anger, often attacking those who tread too near their nests.
Fearow naturally live in badlands consiting of rough terrain, such as desolate wastelands and fields.
Diet
Main article: Pokémon food Fearow are viscous predators and swoop down from above, grabbing their prey and taking it to their nests. They generally eat bugs and rodents, as they prefer to avoid any type of plant. Fearow also eat Pokémon food.

Gary Oak has a Fearow that may or may not have been caught as a Spearow.
Ash had a Fearow he caught in the Electric Tale of Pikachu. It was his first capture and he gave it the nickname of "Fearless", although it wasn't very obedient towards him.

Name origin
Fearow's name is a combination of the words fear and sparrow. Its Japanese name can be taken to mean 鬼ドリル, demon drill, although it is worth noting that the first four syllables can be taken to mean 鬼鳥 onidori, demon bird.
