- Yes, that's been brought up numerous times in the past. It only counts if you think Professor Oak is Ash's father, though. Many ElderShippers don't think that is the case. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:28, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

- Dubs themselves aren't really reliable indicators that a shipping has been confirmed in the anime. The canonical nature of shippings as a whole is mostly speculation and needs to be done with extreme care. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:12, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
