A featured article should exemplify the goals of Bulbapedia - an accurate, comprehensive and Pokémon-focused encyclopedia. Featured articles should be picked from the very best work on Bulbapedia, although this is not the same as picking from the most detailed or the most accurate.

These are featured article candidates.

Procedures

Nominating

  1. Check it against the featured article criteria
  2. ...
  3. Add a {{FAC}} invocation to the candidates section, for instance, {{FAC||Bulbapedia}}, or if the article in question is not in the main namespace, {{FAC|Bulbapedia|About}}.
  4. Create the associated talk page by entering {{subst:FAC talk}} and saving the page.
  5. Add {{FAC notice}} to the top of the candidate article.

Voting

To vote, simply edit the appropriate sections. Add your signature (~~~~), preferably with a comment, to the list of supporters / objectors. Remember to update the count in the heading.

  • I'm really happy to see someone put this up as a FAC, considering how much work I've put into the article. There's still a little more work to be done - the manga section makes me sad because it still has a picture ganked from Serebii - but otherwise I do think this is one of our best articles. --Pie ~ 18:25, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
  • I definitely think it's one the most in-depth articles in Bulbapedia... I blame you totally for it, Pie. TTEchidna 04:02, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Very nice, high quality article. Perfect grammar, nice detail. Good job! -Politoed666 01:56, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Nice, Nice, really really nice. Good grammar. Long article. Everything. Good Pictures too. --User:GlalieGuy
  • IMO, the most information filled page on Bulbapedia! Zander 09:43, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
  • This is one of the best of Bulbapedia articles and it should be a featured one
  • This is very detailed and interesting to read, I would definatly like this to become featured - AdamDuffield - 1 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Very detailed, this is a definite FA--KukiTalk 01:50, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Great article but way to large, split maybe? Kilik 12:06, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Great page nothing wrong.--CoolPikachu! 00:29, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

  • Why is it that when I push the FACs, people think I'm only trying to get this article featured? --Pie ~ 03:54, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
    • ... actually, on second thought, don't answer that. --Pie ~ 03:54, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm sure this is really good page, but it looks sooo long. I think it needs to be broken up more or something. I just can't bring myself to wade through all that text. --Greengiant 06:15, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
  • I would vote "support," but I already voted for Pokémon world in relation to the real world. --Shiny NoctowlTalk | Fun 19:26, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
    • Uh, it's not like voting for one out of the ones up here to be accepted as a featured article. It is a judgment of the individual article for the status. All of these could be accepted as Featured Articles without causing conflict. Note how I've voted that I support several. ^^o --Pie ~ 04:16, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

  • This is an extremely detailed and interesting article! It should definitely be a Featured Article. --Shiny Noctowl 14:41, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
  • I agree. While it not might be a real relevant one, it definitely has a lot to offer. -Politoed666 01:58, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
  • This is by far the most interesting article I've seen on Bulbapedia! I always thought that they were completely fictional places! Definite yes. --- Gazco !!!! my page|Talk 17:01, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
  • I would definitely support this article. It is one of the most interesting on the site, as well as one of the most educational. Showing what each of the place names means is an excellent way to give people from outside of Japan an idea as to how Pokémon gets its names. --- Admachina 14:02, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
  • I have to agree, it's a very detailed article that deserves to be featured. --Lime 20:23, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Very informitive and well written. --Theryguy512 23:26, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Worthy of being featured. Personally, it's one of my favorite articles on the entire wiki. --Zeta 21:49, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
  • This article very much deserves to be a featured article. Trainer-c
  • Great article, but it seems to me that the map is a little off. I think that in the games they compacted a bit more space into Johto, like they did in Sinnoh, and that Cianwood may be the small island between Honshū and Shikoku. Zeyfre
  • This article is one of the most interesting I've read on Bulbapedia. --LynnCreed 19:43, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
  • I agree with Gazco; I never thought that the Poké world was based on the real one (other than the mentions of Mew being in (?)Brazil and Lt Surge as the "Lightning American", the Poké world never seemed to noticeably attempt to parallel the real one), and I definetely support its being featured. Theininen 17:44, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Good. No need to say more. MathijsP 15:58, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
  • I love this article. It's so detailed and very informative. Not much else I can say --Xdogking 18:59, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
  • This article is highly relevant to my interests. Make it so. --Kyoufu Kawa 19:30, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
  • This article just put me in perspective with how in tune these two worlds are. --Munch 23:14, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Interesting and fun. Amazed me how the world of pokémon is realted yo Japan.--Wowy 02:00, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
  • It's a great way to understand the tie between Pokemon and the real word. I could also help others to fully understand the concepts of Pokemon.--☆Tavisource 02:04, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Very interesting stuff. It's all info you'd think you should know, but nobody does... the subject matter as well as the detail make it an awesome article to feature on the front page. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:31, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Very interesting. It's great to look and conpare with our world it's should be made. =)--☆Coolピカチュウ! 08:49, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Wow, this article is very popular. I however, noticed that much of this artcile is a large chart. I mean, its very acurate in showing what area correlates with that Japanese city/mountain/geographical formation, but I believe a featured article should have a little more to it. All it has it the place and a little blurb about what it is in Japan. Then it goes on to mention other locations mentioned, but I still think the article is a little, well, trivial. --Mooites Talk to me, baby! 04:12, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
  • It's an interesting idea, but the Comments section of the chart feels very.. empty. I wanted to read more about the details of these places and what makes them so similar to the games, not just the names of the locations! They don't make much effort to fill in the huge number of blank blocks they have in that chart. I'm also not sure that it's anything more than a series of general observations. It's entirely speculative - which is fun, and the accuracy is impressive, but it's still empty and not necessarily 100% factual. Again, I'm only talking about the chart here. The real world references in the Pokedex entries are factual and indeed awesome. Unfortunately that doesn't make up for the bulk of the article.. -- Cayh
