Festival of Masks
The Festival of Masks is a special event wich takes place in the nights of Kitakami. It had existed for many years but after the events between the trio, Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti and the ogre, Ogerpon, the festival was now made to honor of the three heroes' sacrifices.
History
Many years ago, the villagers of Kitakami had this festival for generations, wearing masks of many different Pokémon that are all made by the ancestor of Carmine and Kieran, the unnamed mask maker. One day, a man and an ogre travelled to the village, but they were kicked out by the villagers who were scared of their uncommon appearance. One day, the two had returned now wearing different, exquisite, shining masks to secretly join the village festivals, hiding their identity.
On the following years, the ogre, now known as Ogerpon, started to participate the next festivals like it used to do with her partner, but now all alone.
Trivia
- Before the battle between the Loyal Three and Ogerpon, the villagers who participated the festival, instead of wearing masks of Ogerpon, Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti, wore masks of many different Pokémon, such as, Hoothoot, Squirtle, Lapras, Wheezing and others.
