The player can ride on Pokémon in various Pokémon games.

Multiple Games

In Generation I - VI, player can ride on Pokémon through the use of some field moves.

Image	Description
	Through the use of Fly, the player is shown riding their Pokémon in order to instantly travel to a previously visited location.
	Through the use of Surf, the player can ride their Pokémon to travel over water.

Pokémon X and Y

In Pokémon X and Y, certain areas allow you to ride a specific Pokémon within that particular area only. Some of the Pokémon have special abilities within that area. The player cannot ride their own Pokémon even if they own a Pokémon of the same species.

Gogoat	In Lumiose City, the player can ride Gogoat starting from multiple signposts on North and South Boulevards for $200. The player cannot control the Gogoat, they can only use it to travel until the next signpost.	Lumiose City
Rhyhorn	On Route 9, the player needs to ride Rhyhorn to traverse rocky terrain. The Rhyhorn can also smash rocks blocking the path.	Route 9
Skiddo	On Route 12, the player can ride on Skiddo from Baa de Mer Ranch. The Skiddo can jump over low fences and ledges in the opposite direction.	Route 12
Mamoswine	On Route 17, the player can ride Mamoswine to traverse the deep snow. It can smash rocks blocking the path. Wild Pokémon may also appear on snow tiles.	Route 17

Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon

Main article: Poké Ride

In the Alola region, certain Pokémon are trained as Ride Pokémon to help people travel or perform other tasks, a method known as the Poké Ride. In Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, the player can call Ride Pokémon by registering them to the Ride Pager.

		Stoutland Search	Allows the player to find hidden items.
		Lapras Paddle	Allows the player to surf across water. The player can also fish from Lapras's back.
		Charizard Glide	Allows the player to fly to places they've already been to.
		Mudsdale Gallop	Allows the player to run across rocky terrain.
		Sharpedo Jet	Allows the player to surf rapidly and smash through rocks in the water.
		Machamp Shove	Allows the player to move large blocks.
		Mantine Surf^USUM	Allows the player to surf between islands, performing tricks to earn high scores and BP.
		Ultra Warp Ride^USUM	Allows the player to travel through Ultra Wormholes in order to gain access to various different areas of Ultra Space.

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!

In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, the player can ride on certain large Walking Pokémon.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the player can ride on five Ride Pokémon to travel across Hisui.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the player can ride on the partner Koraidon^S/Miraidon^V.
