Lacey (Japanese: タロ Taro) is a character introduced in The Indigo Disk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She is a second-year student attending Blueberry Academy, and a member of the BB League Elite Four.[1]
In the core series games
Reliable and skilled in Pokémon battling, Lacey is the one who shows the player around the academy.[2] Her father is said to be one of Unova's Gym Leaders, implied to be Clay due to them both using Excadrill.

Trivia
- The French official website for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet misspells Lacey's French name as "Tara" in the subheading for her,[3] even though the aforementioned website and in-game material has "Taro" as her French name.[4][5] This error has been fixed as of September 11, 2023.[4]
- Lacey is the first Elite Four member to specialize in Fairy-type Pokémon.
- Lacey is the only member of the BB Elite Four whose designated Terastallized Pokémon is not of her specialty type prior to being Terastallized.
- While Clay is not directly confirmed to be her father, Lacey is mentioned as the daughter of one of Unova's Gym Leaders, and every implication leads to Clay: Her English and Japanese names, her signature Pokémon, the green gems in her hairpins (which match the green gem on Clay's hat), her ace Excadrill, and her biome remixing Driftveil City's music.
