Double Trouble with Dialga and Palkia V (Japanese: VS ディアルガ&パルキアV VS Dialga & Palkia V), titled VS Dialga & Palkia V in the Chuang Yi translation, is the 415th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the 78th chapter of the Diamond & Pearl arc.
It is subtitled Complete and Incomplete (Japanese: 完全と不完全 Perfection and Imperfection) in the VIZ Media translation and Perfection and Imperfection in the Chuang Yi translation.
Plot
Pearl, Platinum, Diamond, and Cynthia stare in shock as reality begins to warp around them, surrounding them in different settings.
Meanwhile at the Sinnoh Police Station, a Police Officer tries to interrogate the two Scientists who were following orders to block off Lake Valor, but can't get any answers about Team Galactic from them. When he exits into the hallway, he sees Looker and his Croagunk and updates them on the interrogation. Looker tells him not to worry, and asks his Croagunk to keep watch as he steps outside.
Leaning by the station, Looker notices Dr. Footstep, who is waiting for the interrogation to end so he can ask the two Scientists if he can record the footprints of their Pokémon. Suddenly, Dr. Footstep finds himself at Spear Pillar, where space is warping all around him. Both time and space continue to distort all over Sinnoh, affecting everyone in the region.
Diamond and the others watch Cyrus in fear as he speaks of the world's imperfections. Cyrus declares that the only way to fix these imperfections is to destroy the world and recreate it entirely. He explains that Dialga and Palkia's combined power will create a core—a seed from which the new world will grow.
Suddenly, the unconscious Gym Leaders begin to drift upward toward the hole in the sky. Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum send out their Pokémon to desperately try to hold them back. Diamond sends out Fantina's Drifblim to protect her, reuniting the two. The young Trainers begin to lose their grip on the Gym Leaders, causing Diamond to declare that he's going to close up the hole in the sky.
Diamond tries to have Moo use a Blizzard attack on the hole, but it is only absorbed. He decides that the next step is to jump into the hole and close it from the other side. Pearl and Platinum both scream as Diamond and Moo charge for it. Right as Diamond is about to enter it, there is a flash of light. To Diamond's surprise, he is stopped in place. He looks down to see himself in a Regigigas's grasp.
As the others stare in shock, Cynthia mentions that she saw the Regigigas appear from Platinum's bag. Regigigas gently sets Diamond and Moo on the ground, and as Platinum and Pearl try to figure out if the massive Pokémon is a friend or a foe, a voice chimes in to confirm that it's here to help. Dr. Footstep is shown, revealed to have been reading Regigigas's footprint. He says that from the footprint, he can tell that it is willing to do everything it can to fight for Sinnoh.
