Kuki said about creating sprites for the different patterned Butterfree and Vileplume. And since you said you are simply in charge here when Pie and Zhen isn't here, I guess that means you might know more. So the question is if we should make sprites for those. But since they are different patterns, much like arbok and spinda, there is no reason to make a new sprite just for a new pattern right? But Kuk's argument is that they are also different colored. So what's your view?--☆Tavisource02:40, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not just in charge while they're gone. I am in charge...

Hey TTE, would you mind if I happen to "steal" some things that you have made? Specifically I'd like to "steal" (and of course modify) your archive page that counts bytes, and your Pokémon of the Day. Might I be allowed to do this, or would you prefer I not? Sorry to bug you about this, but I like to ask before I "steal" things ^_^; - Kogoro|Talk to me|03:18, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

How do you create sub-pages like the ones you and Kenji-Girl have? I really don't want to try and experiment with links and take the change of messing something up.
Go to your userpage, in the URL bar add /NAME (Just replace NAME with the name you want for the sub-page) then edit the non-existent page. Just remember that editing user sub-pages does count to the 3 userspace edits per day limit. - Kogoro|Talk to me|09:34, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
There is a limit of how many times you can edit your userpage and subpages (or even, in rare circumstances, others' pages) a day. The userspace includes your page, and any of your subpages. This includes the smallest edits, from adding a period to the end of a sentence, to the largest edits, from creating a whole new page. People like TTEchidna don't have a limit, because dey are awesome like that. Thankfully, the limit does not include any talk pages, even your own talk pages. However, don't go overboard and make it a blog. Gligar14:19, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Actually, it does not only include your main page and subpages, but any other page in the userspace, even if it doesn't belong to you (even though editing pages that aren't yours is not allowed.) MoldyOrange14:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Generation IV in LOPBG
Latest comment: 18 October 200813 comments3 people in discussion
Due to my userspace limit already being over, I have taken the liberty of completing the Generation IV chart in "List of Pokémon by game". It is complete and currently resides in the bottom of the Sandbox. The page is now officially complete and ready for the mainspace once you add Generation IV. Thank you. Gligar14:19, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
You are adding information to a userspace page that will make it to the mainspace when it is complete, that is allowed and does not count towards your total. MoldyOrange14:28, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not quite. You've got a few listed... off. For example, in Pt, Gligar's no longer a dongler, while Magmar and Electabuzz are in the wild. TTEchidna16:14, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're right. I kind of assumed for some of Platinum's, since some of the Pokémon articles only say "Trade" because they haven't been updated. I'll take a look at Serebii. Gligar18:48, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Serebii claims to have a complete location list, but I don't see one. The only way I see is manually checking all their pages. I've made a few dongle/version-exclusive edits. Gligar19:27, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, that's what I meant, he doesn't have a list of all 493 with their Pt locations, but has the Pt locations in their pages. If it's what you meant originally then yes I agree. TTEchidna22:55, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have no idea what's wrong with it... It's just not there. Give it a while, if you just noticed it gone, it might just be a glitch that'll correct itself. Either way, ew jpg sprite. Can we fix that? TTEchidna16:43, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I was looking at the tables and I thought that we should have seperate rows for Physical and Special moves. Now, I'm not too good with tables so I had a play around and it came to this:
What do you think? I mean, we could add other columns to it if needs be. At the moment, it just looks a little clumped, especially with moves with many variations (Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, Swift etc.). Just an idea... TESHIGIGAS22:17, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Alright, thanks. Also, does the width of the table matter? I mean, how many moves would we put in one one row before starting another? Variations like Blizzard are easy, but with Quick Attack etc., it get's harder. TESHIGIGAS22:52, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

TTE, shouldn't this template of yours use {{g|anime}} instead of [[Pokémon Anime]] on it? Isn't using the shortlinks policy? (I asked this on the template's talk page, but I'm not sure if that page will make the "new messages" bar appear. - Kogoro|Talk to me|23:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Policy unless there's a reason otherwise. There's not much difference between the g template and typing it out. The LTs are mostly for stuff like moves. TTEchidna01:04, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Using Unicode minus
Latest comment: 14 October 20083 comments2 people in discussion
What do you think of using the Unicode minus character instead of hyphens where appropriate—for instance, in TCG resistances? Since Bulbapedia implements UTF-8, it would be a shame to not make use of it. It can be copy-pasted directly (−), or an editor can type − in the source. It seems to me that this would be similar to the acute é or em dashes. And visually, it does make a difference: compare (2 + 3 - 5) to (2 + 3 − 5). IIMarckus04:06, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hrm... well, the regular dash (-) works in mathematical calculations, while I'm unsure if that minus does. So... I dunno. It seems like going a little overboard...

Is there a male tuber for FR/LG? If not, we can add to trivia that though it doesn't appear for FR/LG, it does appear in Sis and Bro...
Anyway, do you know? If not, we can also edit the sprite of Sis and Bro and FR/LG to say that this is the male Tuber. ht1403:06, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Original Series and Advanced Generation Episode Lists
Latest comment: 16 October 200813 comments3 people in discussion
So I just saw the AG episode list expanded to split the two Deoxys episodes, but I believe you mentioned something about changing the Original Series episode list after Episode 38? What changes? I only say the two Christmas episodes added, but are there any number changes?
Ok, one last question. I was putting the favorite episode tags onto my profile, and the picture for DP038 won't work. I copied and pasted the title, and it won't work. It is the only pci I'm having problems with.
AG049 on the Advanced Genration list, although the AG049 page doesn't even use that pic.
AG101 (unaired)AG110AG117
I don't know if you want this, but the picutres for AG128 and AG129 are from the correct episode, but the name of the episodes are switched around.
AG130AG132AG134AG149AG167AG189
Ouch. Uhm... wanna help by saving them and reuploading them as their epicode, then marking the duplicate for deletion? There's no way to move images, so we gotta just delete them. TTEchidna05:15, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Depends, is accuracy, power, or effect percentage important? Do you plan on having a Wide Lens on the Pokémon? Is it a Machamp with No Guard? TTEchidna02:48, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Brel makes a good seedsubber, and also a sweet SD Mach Puncher. If you really want DynamicPunch, Mind Reader comes free with it. But I won't recommend it. The best moveset I can think of is Toxic Orb, Swords Dance, Mach Punch, Spore, Seed Bomb. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links03:27, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

You know how most wikis (including ours) often have a "This Week's Featured Article" thing? How about we do a "This Month's Featured Stub" to encorage the expansion of undederveloped arcticles? --Manga-in-a-bottle05:44, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Only thing is, a featured stub probably wouldn't be a stub for the whole month. It sounds like a really fun way to all work on stubs though, and with enough attention, it could go pretty fast... random sounds pretty good, I wonder if there's a way to system-generate a random list of only stub articles? Sort of like Special:Random. As stubs get filled out, they lose stub status, become full articles, and the next random stub jumps to the front page. --Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^08:36, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Me like. This is a good idea. (By the way, you noticed how MIAB said that most wikis (including ours) often have a "This Week's Featured Article" thing...? Well, it's almost two months since Brock... We keep contradicting our own words...) --electAbuzzzz09:38, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Maybe not do it "of the month" but having an article that needs work on the front page until it is looking shiny would be a good way to encourage the wiki magic. --FabuVinny|Talk Page|19:59, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you pick, we should consolidate first. I have made some stubs that I am working on getting information for, and I would like only people who know what they are doing touching the article. I don't want to have to constantly fix something that would have not been a problem if it wasn't the "featured" one. MoldyOrange21:28, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Blocked. I also removed the revision from the page's history, just so the links aren't still buried in there. (not sure if my method is the best way to get rid of such edits, however.) --Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^09:51, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
On the subject; it mentions in the blocking policy that "contaminated history should also be deleted if possible". Is there a "normal" way to delete the history? (My method is to delete the page, then restore all but the edits in question.) --Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^01:47, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Check-off the top of the list, scroll to the bottom, and hold Shift while clicking the bottom of the list. That'll select everything. Then you just de-select the problem edits.

With things like Event Pokémon lists, and other list prior to Generation IV.. Which sprite is more preferable?
The latest
The sprite of that generation
I'm thinking the latter, due to it representing that generation. Just wanting a second opinion on this one, since it isn't mentioned in the manual of style... Gywall(Talk)15:07, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't know...That format could cause gaps when it comes to floors that both introduce new Pokémon and carry over ones from a previous floor. Take Thunderwave Cave for example. In that format, there'd be a gap on floors 1 and 2 above Voltorb (who appears only on floors 3 through 5), while Rattata/Nidoran♀/Poochyena sits comfortably in the first three floors over Elekid/Plusle/Minun on the final two. The gaps and staggering would only get worse the deeper one gets into the game. --Shiningpikablu25215:48, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'd like you to change my user name to "Chocolate", and here's why:
My current user name is misleading. I mean, the word "baby". A baby is a very young person, and it can also be used to describe a hot girl. I'm neither. And the "G", well, it's supposed to stand for "gangsta", so my name means either "young gangsta" or "female gangsta", which I'm not any of those.
A name like "Chocolate" is much better IMO. No, I'm not made outta chocolate, but I just like that name WAY better.

I thought I should ask before trying anything. Do you think that we should have redirects to the manga and anime? I came across this user named Jmath who is constantly changing my contributions to EP099 based on what he thinks is true, and he thinks that the pic of a deleted scene from that particular episode i uploaded on that page is "unnecessary" and an "extra pic" by his standards. Bulbapedia is a website created by group effort, right? Why can't I put my correct contributions without anyone else like him interfering? --Hmdwgf15:34, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Either way, edit warring isn't a good thing to do. I will agree that the picture needs some better quality (hey, we do have a Japanese wiki, why not ask if anyone there has the DVD that includes that episode? Tavi can do it...) but constantly reverting it, both of you, is a damned bad idea. Jmath, you should know this, since you were previously blocked for it. TTEchidna19:55, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

How do I scan pictures of the different routes from guidebooks and upload them to Bulbapedia, but have them look perfect like the ones already here on the site?
Well, I do believe there must be some way to rip those from the game, too. How, beats me, but someone's gotta be developing something to reverse-engineer the DS games. TTEchidna21:37, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I dont think Sinnoh routes can be ripped. They're partially 3D for one thing. Shots from guidebooks tend to have problems with edges of pages too. I made some locations myself using RPGXP.
But is it from the game? It seems to actually... be from the game, though I know better from the past revisions (which look tiled and therefore not Gen-IV-like). Was it AdvanceMap'd? TTEchidna22:38, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is it possible to get a further check on these two accounts to see whether my suspicion is right? Thanks. --Shiningpikablu25216:03, 20 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Bleh. Wonderful. Yeh, the first Miley earned the "Abuse" tag after making 28 edits in one day, and ignoring four warnings. RexRacer pointed out that even though Miley never responded to the warnings, he/she did "learn" from the one time Rex mentioned a better way to add userboxes, so I think he/she was just willfully ignoring the warnings.
Is it possible to check LucasChinaMiley for sockpuppetry? Maybe it's genuine, but obviously, the name Miley sets off the same bells. It could be a unique user, but I just want to know if he's not getting around with a clean slate. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph21:09, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I know I redid Links/1. And I only just realized that there's yet another 'mon with a special character. Two, in fact. Mr. Mime and its preevo. However, I've discovered that Marriland works with number, so I'm going to give you more code. If it matters, the switch statements don't need to go into generations which don't have the specific 'mon which are being switched on. --Raijinili05:06, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, Arcanine's just says Legendary Pokémon, but that's not saying it's A LEGENDARY POKÉMON, That's just what it's called. As you can see above in the picture:
I realize that Arcanine's description as Legendary is just the same as Giratina's as Renegade. That's the point I was trying to make. And Unown's classification according to this would be very nice, too, since Rotom's breeding habits are comparable to Porygon's, while Unown's are comparable to Mew's. I'm having a bit of a problem clearing a problem surrounding a certain seven usertags. The usertags {{User Beauty Master}}, {{User Contest Master}}, {{User Super Contest Master}}, {{User Cool Master}}, {{User Cute Master}}, {{User Smart Master}}, and {{User Tough Master}} all have categories wrapped in <includeonly> tags; however, for some odd reason, they're still considered to be part of the usergroup categories included within the <includeonly> coding (which the coding should be keeping them out of), no matter how much I try to get them off! You're the master template hacker, do you think you can fix it, or should I go to Zhen Lin on this issue? --Shiningpikablu25216:06, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I found the problem. It may be in the include only, but for the change demonstration (I'll use this as an example: Template:User Contest Master). The change example (the demonstration on how they want it changed from May to Dawn) uses the template itself, when it should just be the coding for what the change should be. when the template is used, it puts the include only category because the template is included in the page instead of what it should be, the coding. Hopefully, if it is changed, the problem would be solved. Do you understand my thinking? MaverickNate16:11, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Anyway, I linked to my modifications in this section's title, so all that needs to be done is pasting, making sure not to lose the category lines. --Raijinili03:05, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking: Because Crystal has a page, that we create sprites for her Pokémon, SINCE THEY HAVE A PLACE. What do u think? Should Tavis create them?--KukiTalk02:28, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
You do know I have a life outside of Bulbapedia. Anyway, depends on what you mean by "create". How different are they from regulars? As for anime coloration... don't even fricking go there. TTEchidna06:18, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ahem...Kuki, I told you I am NOT going to make Crystal's Pokémon's sprites AND the alt color Pokémon...we have came to this conclusion at the forums and many of them were admins of Bulbapedia, so I recon you stop worrying about this and leave TTE out of this.--☆Tavisource06:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I haven't been on for a while, and will only be on intermittently for some time to come (old laptop self-destructed, new one is allergic to the university network). If Electabuzz and Takoto didn't get adminship because they couldn't be on, why should I? --((Martonimos))20:41, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not the same thing. I'm leaving for half a year, and barely made serious edits in two months. With Takoto, the reason wasn't that exactly... --electAbuzzzz21:00, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
So to use.. First PartyHeader template.. then PartyBody with Generation number first, then number of Pokémon for the line.. then finished with PartyFooter. Right? Gywall(Talk)10:33, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
My only comment is that Pokémon with an unknown ability link to Unknown (ability), which is a red link page.. Also, shouldn't the templates be protected? Gywall(Talk)17:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Eh sure. Just make sure to check frequently to see what links to it. Unlike -- (move), stuff that links to Unknown (ability) needs more data. TTEchidna22:47, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

You know how it states May had gone back in time? Well, hasn't EVERYONE have? See, Time itself, is an idea created by man, agree? Let's say it is 1:00 A.M and it is hit the exact minute of your b-day. Then, you were to fly on a plane the opposite direction of the Earth's rotation, you would have went back to a different time zone, but yet, your Birthday would still remain the same time and date even though your biological b-day has change, therefore, you are able to celebrate your b-day once more even though your biological b-day has passed and would never go back like you birth DATE had. So if you were to continue flying around and around the earth in the opposite direction of the rotation, you body would grow older, but your b-day will slow down, or possibly you could grow younger in age (time-wise). So going the opposite direction (including walking...I used flying as an example to better the example) will TECHNICALLY bring a person back in time according to how far they have gone and how much the earth has rotated...this also proves that you can never track you EXACT time and possibly date of biological birth. So this IS technically considered as time traveling. If you disagree, think about this: Time is and idea that is created by mankind. But May had not moved the opposite direction and still went through time, so I guess it's different, right?
Awesome! If you look at the history of this page, you can see that I had activated the "cloning glitch" of editing...it says I created the "new section" twice...now that is TRUE time traveling!--☆Tavisource00:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Except for the fact that the International Date Line is in the middle of the Pacific, and whenever you go past it in the opposite direction of rotaion, it becomes the day after today (ex: if you went from the US on October 10th to Japan, when you arrive, it would be October 11th, no matter what time you left.)MaverickNate01:03, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
LET'S SAY THIS! The clock does not exist, the concept of days, weeks, months, years does not exist. Time would still be passing by. Going through the time zone just changes what the clock says and where the sun or moon is. It doesn't mean one goes back in time. True going back in time is if you went back in time and saved your grandaddy from dying of cancer.~Ποκεμανιακα0β01:31, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
YAY! P102, I think you understand the concept. Time is not a real thing, is what you are trying to say...it is something made by man-kind. So what I said would be considered traveling through time (something man-made). Get it? So the term "Traveling through time" is incorrect.--☆Tavisource01:37, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Geh...no. I think that "time" like the clock, position of the sun, light, blahblah, is fake. But actual TIME (I'm using that word) like the course of every event occurring, THAT'S REAL. I believe in the concept of Space time~Ποκεμανιακα0β01:43, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Another e-mail...

IM me when you see this. I got another e-mail from "Kuki's mom". According to the details of it...I'm the only one who got it. -Sketch18:32, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
IS it the one saying that she made a mistake and wants him unbanned as she has realised the hard way it makes it worse for her?? I got that too, and it said i was the only one who got it --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
The scariest part? Looking for the "leader of Bulbapedia" is easy as clicking on link on the main page (conveniently we've got the EB as a link there) and then looking at me. And yet I got zippo as far as emails. TTEchidna20:14, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
OH, CONGRATULATIONS, how long has that been for, anyway, well done on all the hard work. I thought Zhen was still numero uno so im guessing other users did as well --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
NO, Pachirisulover 12 won didnt she, Ive read through the criteria over and over and shes won, more than 10 votes, more than 2 thirds of support and she has some support from other admins, --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Thanks for all your help recently. Take this code to your user page:

I don't believe that mission pages are allowed any more. As far as I recall, they were ruled to be a waste of space some time ago. And don't yell, it's very rude. Cipher(Talk)17:22, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Please, even to bring them back for a day so I can take pics of them would be brilliant, and anyway, nobody warned me. They were deleted against my will. I spent hours on those, and a few months later... BOOM! Gone. How would you like it if someone deleted your user page, or the entire contents of your disscussion (well, I wouldn't mind that, but still.) Please, I'm begging you. SonicPikachuThe No.1fan17:26, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I would expect an administrator will be along at some point to respond. They might restore the page temporarily or they might just say "no" with it being a mission page. All I can really say to do at this point is to sit tight and wait for an admin. Cipher(Talk)17:34, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
The point is, there were a violation of policy, as stated here: Bulbapedia:Userspace policy. Yes, it's new, but the deletion of such things began at the beginning of summer with the locking of the user pages, and the fact that they (riddles/missions/constant userpage editting) crashed the server pretty badly. Junk = bad. Whether they'll let you snapshot them is up to the Ed board, or just TTE, but still, it was your folly for making them in the first place? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph17:40, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hey, no one told me they were going to get deleted. I mean, it's not my fault that no one told me that they were taking up so much space they were going to get deleted. And I should have been told. Once again, how would you like it if you spent hours on a page, or a project or something, to have it being deleted without your permission? Exactly.SonicPikachuThe No.1fan17:50, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
And where have you been in all the months between when they were deleted and now? We began "the purge" long ago under Zhen's directive, and the process took a long time, so you would have had a fair chance to save them then. Besides, what would you do with them? You can't re-add them, because of the new policies, so what's the point? I've lost whole fanfics when my computer crashed, but I didn't whine about it; I just started another. --((Martonimos))00:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Getting pics of it? What are you possibly going to do with them anyways, I see no important point, but I do understand that you want a copy of as reference since you worked so hard.--☆Tavisource00:30, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Either me or another admin may be able to temporarily restore them, and save them for you. I can actually dig into the deleted revisions and copy the pages for you without even restoring them, if you'd like me to just e-mail the pages to you or something. Might not have time to do that just yet, however. --Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^02:18, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
For all I know, the image has spoiler of the episode, and, for all I know, it cannot stay here. I deleted the image of the episode, but the edit was undone, and I don't want edit wars. Kogoro told me that you left it there, and I don't understand why if it has spoilers. --Nick., something to say?03:44, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
