Trivia

  • In the games, Mary is just an assistant on Professor Oak's radio show. While she is shown to have this role in Will the Real Oak Please Stand Up?, she is also seen here as a star in her own right. Mary also appears as Profesor Oak's assistant on television in Oaknapped.
  • Professor Oak's lecture: Dragonite. Oak talks about the rarity of Dragonite and says that Dragonite can weigh up to 210 kilograms (463 pounds) and grow up to 2.2 meters (7′03″) tall. Oak then comments how it would fun to have such a big Dragonite, and tells the Dragonite next to him that it should try its best to grow. Dragonite releases a Hyper Beam (not at Oak), which causes an explosion in the lab. Oak responds by saying that he didn't tell Dragonite to try its best in that aspect.
  • Pokémon senryu summary: A Dragonite, ranked in comparison with people, is a Dragonite.
  • While Cartoon Network aired the show in syndication, this episode wasn't aired on their cable channel until June 2, 2007. This was part of the two-day Pokémon Master Marathon that was aired shortly before the launch of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl in the U.S.
  • Ash is dressed up like Link from the Legend of Zelda games.
  • So far, this title has the least amount of letters, having only seven.
