About myself

I call myself THE TROM, but I will also repsond to "asshole", "jerk", and "jackass". I moved to Bulbapedia after more than two years and 2,600 edits of experience on Wikipedia, although I have not and never will focus on any Pokémon articles. I've had my problems with the administration system here in the past, but in the past three months I've seen Bulbapedia grow and evolve. And now, for some godforsaken reason, I've actually grown to like the place, despite the fact that almost every rule is unwritten and expected to be common knowledge. I don't do anime. I don't do manga. I don't do TCG. I do do main series, specialising in Generation IV. I do clean up poorly written pages. And I do know how to make fancy templates. Despite my limited scope, I got to number four on the list in December '08. I'll take questions, complaints, insults, tasks and praise - just make sure you leave it in a new section. The only user I'm sure I'll ever trust here is Beligaronia, but don't let that stop you from making an effort. To contact me privately, use email. I do have AIM and MSN but you'll have to ask nicely to be allowed access to those. But for now: go and edit in peace.

It's currently 11:43:42PM on February 18, 2025 where I live. But that means absolutely nothing about when I'll edit. — THE TROM12:22, 31 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for putting the Pt Gym Leader update on the Gen IV page.--DRAGONBEASTX 22:22, 1 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Preview

I know, I know, But just one question, Are you using the Preview Button?--Force Fire talk 08:52, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, when I can. It's hard to tell with some aspects of templates though, but I assure every single user on this site that I am using as few edits as possible. Would you mind commenting on what I've done, if you haven't already? Thanks. — THE TROM08:56, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's alright, it's much easier to understand than the other thing we have. But yet again it may cause a problem as some users are used to the template we have now.--Force Fire talk 08:59, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Dammit, not that thing called "tradition" again!?! You wouldn't believe the number of times I've seen this cited as a way not to improve an article. Besides, by turning it around as I have demonstrated we can get rid of the stupid bold red text. — THE TROM09:14, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Well, I wasn't going to say "tradition", But you know, people these days. But its good.
And how about combining?--Force Fire talk 09:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Actually, it hasn't just been him. He was one of the culprits a few months ago but I think after all his moz-borders he's moved on a bit... What do you mean by "combining"? — THE TROM09:22, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Like if two Pokémon can be found in two or more games, Are they gonna be seperate or are they going to be in the same box?--Force Fire talk 09:24, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
You mean like Clamperl appearing in DP but not Pt? Or have I missed your point? — THE TROM09:25, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, That's my point.--Force Fire talk 09:26, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey--if you wouldn't mind, could you drop me a line on AIM? I have a few questions for you. My handle is IMfromEvan. -- evkl (need to talk?) 05:00, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dropping any of us an AIM message would also be good, hint hint. TTEchidna 22:33, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I basically took the words of Marc Antony's famous speech from Julius Caesar(The play) and added in some hyperlinks and twisted a few words. In my view, we need specific admins. nuf said.DCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits)) 11:29, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hhmm

Why do you trust Beligaronia? The wikipedia Beligaronia says that they are totally insane! If they are the same people, this Beligaronia is also insane! Are you LOCO IN THE COCO?! If, shockingly, you don't know what that means, it means "Is something "WRONG" with your head?!", or something in that similar nature of shouting directly in your ear while you're reading something like a very rare chapter of Pokémon Special, if you ever got your hands on one.--DRAGONBEASTX 10:59, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, my friend Bela is a certified loony.... </sarcasm> Not everything you read on the internet can be taken as verbatim truth. I read on your user page that you are, in fact, Romanian, but I have no knowledge that this, or anything else you say, is true. The fact that I refer to him as the one person I can trust is based on the fact that a) I know him in real life, and b) almost every user on this site is incredibly hostile, a group that you may now find yourself in. If this message was to take advantage of my offer of talk page abuse (see my green box), you've had your chance, so thank you and goodbye. — THE TROM06:42, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Trom... yeah... sorry... you've got a good point about the net... I myself can sometimes act a little loony, you know how I said about shouting directly in your ear while you're reading something like a very rare chapter of Pokémon Special, if you ever got your hands on one........ and I was just wondering why did you say you ONLY trust Bela... I think its a DIFFERENT level of trust... REAL trust cause you know Bela in real life... though you may not entirely believe it... I am Romanian and I didn't mean for this message seeming like talk page abuse and I really don't abuse talk pages. Here's an example: "Talk:Porygon-Z ("DP-P" Promo 106)". but in that internet-Bulbapedia-editing-kinda-trust, I trust you, cause you make nice edits.--DRAGONBEASTX 07:06, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I've seen you around, and you appear to make good edits. I was only surprised by your tone. This is clearly a reminder to everyone here to think before you write. — THE TROM08:25, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Backrounds

idk what to call them, but, what you did to TMs. i know its after the fact, but, im going to make a template for those right now. -- MAGNEDETH 02:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well.... that's only an hour or so down the drain.... :( — THE TROM02:07, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
i was working on those type-tables and thinking "boy, we really need one of those templates..." but, better late than never i guess. -- MAGNEDETH 02:09, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I thought about it yesterday, and was like "stuff it, I can't be bothered having to find/create/guess coding for a template again..."... — THE TROM02:11, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
well, bother no more! im going to make a contest one as well. not sure what else we could need. -- MAGNEDETH 02:13, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oops, forgot that one. Cool. Do you want me to update the page again or will you do it and I find something else? (And seeing as you're making templates work good, can you fix the entry template at Old Chateau to make the Dongle go purple. I tried here to little success, so any help would be nice) — THE TROM — 02:16, 31 January 2009
hmm, im not so sure about that one. ill ask TTE. meanwhile, if you want to do the TM page again you can. i was going to go do all the types pages. -- MAGNEDETH 02:20, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Dongles for all five Gen III games shouldn't go purple. TTEchidna 02:27, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
It is on Gengar though. I assumed because they are ghost type? Just like how I made the dongle for underleveled Staravia and Bibarel the normal color. Having color would give consistency for all Dongles. — THE TROM02:37, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thwomp Master's User Page

Good work on decategorizing Thwomp Master's user page. Very impressive. --Theryguy512 00:02, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! It took quite a bit of work, I tell you. Good to see you back though, Ryguy: you and Tina are names I knew from trawling the talk pages before I finally registered an account. — THE TROM00:05, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Categories

Please don't remove categories from pages in encyclopedic namespaces, such as what you did on List of moves. All pages in encyclopedic namespaces must be categorized, with the one and only exception of the Main Page. --Shiningpikablu252 16:19, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Whoops, that was an accident in trying to update the page with the {{typetable}} templates; unfortunately my computer froze halfway and Sol finished it off for me, obviously not noticing the missing categories. — THE TROM20:03, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oi, you!

Get out of the freaking userspace! You're clogging up the recent changes, and not even marking them all as minor so I can't even hide them! Start using "show preview" or something. Grr. Not happy. — THE TROM09:49, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Trom, are you talk to yourself again? You know its the first sign of madness.--Clarky13 09:53, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, second sign. First sign is no userpage, but a ton of userspace edits. — THE TROM09:54, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Haha. I demand you to make a userpage, NOW.--Clarky13 09:57, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
All in good time, my son. It'll take a year or two of no userspace editing to make up for what I'm doing for you and your trainer class project. — THE TROM09:58, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Awwwwww. Thanks for all your doing.--Clarky13 10:00, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Given up have we?--Clarky13 11:19, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, it was after midnight, and I had work from nine..... I thought a temporary pause might be in order. I do apologise for not asking permission from you beforehand :p Anyway, there are some bugs. I'll look into it in due time. — THE TROM09:11, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yep, sure. Anytime you want.--Clarky13 09:30, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia

The name change is already done! And yeah I heard from Tall Napolean (Wikipedian User) about that too. Apparently I had enough edits to be able to change my name but it's all right now. -- Landfish7 20:37, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Something something user talk space

A block is heading your way, pal. And I know you haven't finished your userspaced projects either... So when you get back to them (and you better!), I'm gonna jump on you from a great height. Grr. Not happy. The mainspace needs love too, you know. — THE TROM11:34, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

tis tis. I'm very disappointed in the both of you.--Clarky13 11:40, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

images

I mistakenly uploaded images thinking there not there but every time I go to view a page the sprites are not there and when I try to click on them I'm informed they do not exist even though there in archive. Also now other picture are not showing up as well.--Riggy(>0.0)> 05:31, 6 March 2009 (UTC)--Riggy(>0.0)> 05:31, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do you mean these two? ([1]/[2]) I'm not sure what's at fault here; perhaps the page has cached. To remedy this, go to the page in question (unless I'm mistaken, this one), and if the pictures are not present, click on the clock at the top of the page, or follow this link instead. Hope I helped! — THE TROM09:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
