Tangrowth can learn Leaf Storm through Shiftry as well. Shiftry learns it at level 49 and can then breed it onto Tangela.- unsigned comment from Link6491 (talk • contribs)
A way to get Tangrowth at a low level
It's possible to get a Tangrowth at level 2, right? All you need to do is hatch a Tangela, teach it Ancient Power, and feed it a Rare Candy or level it up and you have a level 2 Tangrowth. Should this be listed in the Trivia section or something? - unsigned comment from Nidolord500 (talk • contribs) 23:17, January 27, 2009
- No, this is a well known way to get Pokemon actually. Same way you can evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon really. MK 05:24, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Any location, happiness, or move-evolving Pokémon can be gotten at level 2 (except Sudowoodo and Mr. Mime, since they have the incense prevos and Golbat because Zubat doesn't evolve until 22). You don't even need to teach it anything, just breed two a Tangela/Tangrowth with AncientPower with any Pokémon in its egg group with the move, and there you go. - Um, no. On Pokemon Platinum, there's a move tutor that teaches Ancient Power, so even if you can't breed 2 together, there's that Move Tutor. And you can't breed a Tengula to learn Ancient Power. This is the only way to get it at level 2 without hacking. Tengula and Swinub are the only 2 pokemon that can evolve at level 2 that has to learn a certain move to evolve. <__< - unsigned comment from Nidolord500 (talk • contribs) 05:05, 30 January 2009
- ...Wait, so you said "no" and then backed up the statement that you disagreed with? And yes, you can breed Tangela to learn AncientPower. Tangela + Tangela = Tangela. Or Tangrowth + Tangrowth. ~ sol 05:49, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- If you use Pknm Ranch, Haley has a Tamgela that she gives that has AnceintPower and is at level 1 (I wanted to let you know if you didn't yet lol).--☆Coolピカチュウ! 05:53, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- NO IT CANNOT! LOOK AT TENGULA'S BABY MOVES! GRAWR! RAWR! >=( And I didn't know about Pokemon Ranch giving a Tengula at level 1. My bad.- unsigned comment from Nidolord500 (talk • contribs)

- Uh, TTEchidna, you're forgetting Piloswine. Swinub doesn't evolve into Piloswine until it reaches level 33, and it's Piloswine that needs to know Ancientpower in order to evolve. Hence the lowest possible level one could see a Mamoswine at would be 6.
- If you don't believe me about being able to get a level 6 Mamoswine, here's how to do it: First, breed Ancientpower onto a Swinub in a Generation III game (preferably Emerald). Then, use Emerald's Pomeg glitch as often as it takes to level up the Swinub in the egg until it evolves, all without letting it hatch. After the Swinub inside the egg evolves, let the egg hatch; it'll be a level 5 Piloswine. Pal Park the Piloswine, then level it up once it reaches the Generation IV side of things. (You can also try the Pomeg glitch to get stuff such as a level 6 Magnezone and level 5s of Rhyperior, Electivire, Magmortar, Gallade, and Dusknoir.) --Shiningpikablu252 14:40, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Tangrowth's name
I know this is something small but Mojumbo is not how his name in Japanese would be said. Mojanbo is closer or you could spell it Mojyanbo but I did not want to change it without also having a discussion on here.. - unsigned comment from Goldlw1 (talk • contribs)
- what, please rephrase that I can't understand what you're saying is not how his man is Japanese would be said--Pokemonguy1 Pikachu! 23:03, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Opps, let me fix that, sorry about that. But yeah モジャンボ would not be pronounced mojumbo. - unsigned comment from Goldlw1 (talk • contribs)
