Spikes

In all pictures I've seen Silcoon and Cascoon has spikes while the Pokémon that May and Jessie owned has none. Can anyone explain this to me. Laxafett 13:31, 30 May 2009(UTC)

Huh. I dunno. Actually, I think if you look closely at May's Silcoon and Jessie's Cascoon, the spikes are folded down on their bodies. I think they extend them to shoot String Shot. I believe those are not spikes, but rather strings shot in every direction to secure themselves still in a place. It's like Diglett's ground, appearing on every sprite, but not necessarily a part of their bodies. --Kaoz 12:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

I believe that, in "reality", these spikes are only out when the Silcoon or Cascoon is clinging to a tree, since that is what they are for.
