Trivia: This marks the firts time that Ash loses in the league to someone that actually exists in the games, with this Ash has lost the league in every possible final stages, eighth finals(top 16), quarter final(top 8), semifinal(top 4) and finals(runner-up). - unsigned comment from Robin Maximo (talk • contribs)
- Alain isn't in the games. UxieLover1994 (talk) 12:26, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Alain is mentioned in ORAS but not actually in the game, this would however apply to Cameron, since he was added to a PWT Event for Black and White 2 Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 12:49, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- But Steven mention him in ORAS if you have the event shiny Beldum-- Robin Maximo (talk) 02:40, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, but he still doesn't appear in the games. --HoennMaster 03:22, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- He doesn´t have to, Steven mentioning him is proff enought.-- Robin Maximo (talk) 20:10, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- Actually he does, appearing in something requires physical presence. If I talk about someone to you does that mean they are present for the conversation? When Mairin mentioned Ash to Alain in the Mega Evolution Special I does that count as an Ash appearance? No, therefore Alain was not in the games Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 20:41, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- It does not count as Ash apperance, but it turned clearly obvious that Alan exists in the same universe than Ash and his mention by Steven leaves clearly obvious that he has a game counterpart dispite not having a physical appearance, you guys said yourselves in Alain´s page. - unsigned comment from Robin Maximo (talk • contribs)

It mentioned the fight with the mega rayquaza in the Mega Evoltution Special II, we see many references of the games in the anime, but the oppositte doesn´t happens, it was already proved that game events happen in the anime such as Psyduck´s Block in the Sinnoh saga, i don´t see why this is different. Even if is not true(which i believe it is) the fact that the games referred the anime for the first time is worth as trivia.--Robin Maximo (talk) 05:05, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- The Psyduck roadblock was a thing that actually happen in the games that was not referenced or mentioned in both medium. Also, Alain wasn't even directly mentioned by Steven, a young man with a black Charizard could be anyone.--ForceFire 05:23, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
Anyone that fought him alongside him against a Mega Rayquaza? Not quite. The Psyduck roadblock happened in the games first and after in the anime, but it was not the case of Mega Evolution Special II and ORAS.--Robin Maximo (talk) 22:37, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- The anime has been referenced multiple times in the games. This mention is already on Alain's page. --HoennMaster 00:19, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
These are post-games references, but you are right in the way that Pokémon Yellow is the only pre-game reference so far of the anime.--Robin Maximo (talk) 04:11, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
- When I said "it could be anyone", I was referring to his quote in HGSS where the player reminded him of previous challengers (i.e. other players). It could be the same case here, it could be another player that owns a black Charizard. There is a difference between a mention and an actual thing that happens in the game. If something happens in the game appears in the anime as well (no matter who does it first), we can easily prove that the two are connected. But if something is just given a passing, and subtle, mention, we can't really prove that the two are connected.--ForceFire 04:36, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
We have a Lot of references of the anime, is truth, but this one is really accurate, and again, it could not be anyone, even if the character hasn´t appeared, because again, it´s to accurate. It was at least mentioned in this list of the link? Because it´s worthy.--Robin Maximo (talk) 23:57, 24 August 2016 (UTC)

Would it be a good idea to talk about the huge controversy that this episode has caused? AD2011 (talk) 00:22, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- No. It's highly opinionated.--ForceFire 04:32, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- The thing is, last I checked, the official "next episode preview" video on YouTube had 45k dislikes...compared to 1k likes. That is a VERY significant outcry, and certainly worthy of note. --DarthNightmaricus (talk) 21:12, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter, it's still focused on a matter that is entirely based around the opinions of multiple fans and its nothing official or factual that needs to be noted. Playerking95 (talk) 02:30, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Why do people make the link to Chespin here instead of Mairin's Chespin?
Instead of her profile Chespin, people change it to the standard Chespin page. I'm not changing it again out of fear of an edit war. Unowninator (talk) 15:32, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
Final Pokémon trivia
Wouldn't it be notable that it marked the first time since Johto Photo Finish that Ash used a different Pokémon as his final Pokémon against a Trainer who defeated him as it is a drought trivia? Between the Silver Conference and this Conference, Ash used Pikachu as his final Pokémon during League Conferences. PattyMan 17:07, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
