Jan

(Japanese: ジャン Jan) was a character of the day from SS036.

Jan first appeared when he was talking to Aira on a cliff on the edge of nearby town, but soon after they finished talking and Jan rode off on his Gogoat, a Yveltal appeared behind Aira, causing Jan to turn back and try to fight the Yveltal. Jan sent his Talonflame to attack it with Flame Charge, but Yveltal countered that by firing an Oblivion Wing attack at Talonflame. The attack turned Jan's Talonflame to stone, which caused it to fall from the sky to the ground below. Jan went to attack Yveltal with his bow and arrow, , only for Yveltal to use the same attack on him, but before it hit him, Aira jumped in and took the attack herself, which also turned her to stone. After she was turned to stone, Jan fell off the cliff as Yveltal flew away. Later on, Yveltal turned the entire surrounding area to stone, except for Jan and his Gogoat. Jan fell to his knees in grief of losing Aira, although as he was grieving, a woman named Magica and her two Meowstic walked over to him. She told him about a Pokémon called Xerneas, which, unlike Yvletal, who had the ability to destroy things by turning them to stone, had the ability to give life to things that lacked such a thing.

Jan then sought out Xerneas, in order to revitalise his town, which is now all but stone. He came across a wild Scatterbug that was weak, before coming across an old man who had three other Scatterbug. The man told him about where Xerneas was, so Jan took this information and used it to travel to where it was. Jan then arrived in a place where a king, his servants, and soldiers were all carrying lit torches and were ready to burn a Xerneas, which was currently in its tree state. They set light to Xerneas, not too long before Jan arrived and warned them to stop burning it, but they didn't listen. As the Xerneas was burning, a group of Zygarde Cell gathered nearby, until they formed a Zygarde in it's 50% Forme. The Zygarde attacked the soldiers, servants and their Pokémon for trying to kill Xerneas.

After Zygarde's attack, its Cell's separated and spread to different locations and then Xerneas turned into it's normal state. Witnessing this, Jan tried to talk Xerneas into it helping him, but Xerneas didn't care, and ran off. After this incident, Jan travelled back to his hometown and tried to revitalise the land himself by planting seeds, all the while, engraving information about each of the three Legendary Pokémon that he encountered. One night while writing down this information, Xerneas appeared before him and sensing how dedicated he was about revitalising the land, the Life Pokémon used Geomancy, turning the town's barren landscape back to life.

Jan then stayed by Aira's statue as he grew older by his Gogoat's side and then one day, a girl approached him, who was curious about what he wad doing. He then went on explain his story to her.
