The Final Match and a Surprising Finale! (Japanese: 決勝！！ 意外な結末！ It's Decided!! An Unexpected Conclusion!) is the seventh round of the Sun & Moon arc of the Pokémon Adventures manga.
Plot
Major events
- Moon and Gladion continue their battle.
- Moon learns about Regional variants from Samson Oak.
- Gladion defeats Moon and advances to the final round.
- Sun and Gladion begin their battle against each other.
- A mysterious energy shoots from the crack in the sky and hits the Sparkling Stone on Sun's wrist.
- The energy allows Dollar to fire a powerful attack that defeats Gladion's Type: Null.
- Sun passes out from exhaustion.
- Gladion leaves and reveals that his goal is to defeat the Ultra Beasts.
- The next day, Sun awakens on a boat with the island challenge amulet, where he meets the Rotom Pokédex.
