Techno Blast (Japanese: テクノバスター Techno Buster) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation V. It is the signature move of Genesect.
Effect
Generation V
Techno Blast inflicts damage and has no secondary effect. The type of Techno Blast depends on the type of Drive held by the user, being Normal-type if there is none held, and Electric, Fire, Ice, or Water with the appropriate Drive.
Techno Blast's base power in this generation is 85.
Generations VI and VII
Techno Blast's power was changed from 85 to 120.
Generation VIII
Pokémon Sword and Shield
In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Techno Blast could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in the previous generation.
If the user Dynamaxes, the move is displayed as Max Strike, but becomes the Max Move of whichever type of Drive it is holding when used.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Techno Blast cannot be selected in a battle.
Generation IX
Techno Blast cannot be selected in a battle.
